This course is aimed at Teaching Assistants who are new or have recently engaged with the EYFS.

This course aims to provide a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through practical activities, discussions with experienced practitioners and exploration of the underlying principles and research in quality early years education. The programme is built around the needs of the participants.

The course will include:

• An introduction to EYFS and child development;
• Supporting enabling environments through continuous provision; and
• Your role in the observation, assessment and planning cycle.
