New to Teaching EYFS (QTS / ECT) 3 Day Course

Course Description
The course aims to enhance practitioner knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through an exploration of the underlying principles underpinning the provision of high-quality early years education.
Suitable for recently qualified teachers or experienced teachers new to the EYFS.
Three days with lunch and refreshments:
Friday, 17 October 2025 – 9.15 – 3.15 p.m.
Friday, 21 November 2025 – 9.15-3.15 p.m.
Friday, 16 January 2026 – 9.15 – 3.15 p.m.

- A review of the EYFS and child development.
- The role of the adult.
- Creating enabling environments indoors and outdoors.
- Using observation and assessment to inform planning.
- Communication and Language and Physical Development Pathways.

- Supporting the vulnerable child, SEND and EAL.
