Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) Training

The Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) programme is an evidence-informed, nationally recognised approach to supporting children and young people (from primary through to secondary) with a range social and emotional needs. This programme will take place over 5 days and offers two half-day supervision sessions. It is intended for teaching assistants and will:
- develop their knowledgeand understanding of social and emotional needs;
- enhance their skillsin being able to plan and implement a range of bespoke interventions and;
- grow their confidencein being able to support vulnerable children and young people.

Two half-day supervision sessions facilitated by Educational Psychologists:
- 14 May 2025
- 25 June 2025
It is highly recommended that participants complete all 5 days of training and supervision sessions.
