Religious Education Conference hosted by SACRE

Bolton SACRE are once again delighted to support the Bolton Religious Education Conference.  It is an excellent opportunity for subject leaders to access high quality, up to date, professional development.

On the day will be guest speaker, Lat Blaylock:

Lat Blaylock: National RE Adviser
Lat is a primary and secondary specialist.  He is Editor of RE Today magazine and has written many RE resources published by RE Today, including ‘Picturing Christianity’, ‘Big, Big Questions’ (a package for music in RE) and ‘Spiritual Engagement’ (a folder of ideas for 16-19 RE days), as well as contributing to many resources such as Understanding Christianity.  Lat taught RE, Humanities and PSHE in Leicester for eleven years.

The theme for the conference is:
Adaptive learning in RE, creativity in religions and world views and the development of pupils’ skills as writers, thinkers, articulate speakers and good listeners will enable participants to give their RE a fresh boost of inspiration.

Sessions include: This conference will also provide teachers with 15+ inspirational and practical ways to teach RE that set high standards of thinking, creativity and understanding.
